People Director Roger Shufflebottom started as a stills photographer, tried being a studio cameraman and has a long track record as an editor, trainer and writer. Working in film for many years gives an editor vital storytelling skills (which are not the same as button pushing). After an enthusiastic move to Avid editing in 1992, Roger began training as well as editing and is an Avid Certified Instructor – the first in the UK to be certified to teach the Avid Symphony Nitris 340 finishing course. Roger has worked on computers since the late seventies, has edited print magazines and uses InDesign, Photoshop and After Effects. Roger's broadcast credits include documentaries for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 in the UK. |
